FAQ

It depends on several factors including: which area(s) you are trying to treat (11s, forehead, crow’s feet, etc), the strength of your facial muscles, and how deep your existing lines are. We recommend a complimentary consultation with our providers to create a plan that is right for you.

It feels like a pinch. The needle is small, thin, and it goes by quickly to decrease the possibility of pain.

There’s virtually zero downtime with these treatments. Botox/Dysport is often referred to as a “lunchtime procedure,” since most patients return directly to work or normal activity immediately. Some redness and swelling may occur at the injection sites, but it usually subsides within a few hours. Patients may also experience some minimal bruising which can be easily covered with make-up.

Results last around 3-6 months, depending on the location of the treatment, your muscle activity and your body’s individual response.

While Botox and Dysport are both injectables (specifically, botulinum toxin injections) used to treat and prevent wrinkles, their chemical compositions are slightly different which can make one more effective than the other at specific injection sites. We recommend talking to our providers to understand which product is the best fit for you.

Botox/Dysport injections are very common and low risk procedures. Minor bruising and swelling at the injection site are the most common side effects. Our providers will walk you through the process prior to treatment.

Avoid wearing any makeup to your appointment. Our providers need to be able to see your fine lines and wrinkles clearly.
