PRFM
FAQ
The number of treatments needed depends on each individual patient, the desired outcome, and your skin’s condition. However, we generally recommend a series of 4 treatments, every 4 – 6 weeks apart.
In general, results begin to show themselves in three to four weeks as new collagen is built in the treatment areas, and results continue to build for months. The growth factors in PRFM simply act as boosters for skin rejuvenation.
There is little downtime. Immediately after the treatment, there may be redness, bruising, swelling, tenderness and/or itching at or near the injection site. These symptoms are normal and should resolve within a few days. We do not recommend scheduling your appointment right before a big event. With PRFM for under-eye, it is not unusual to have puffiness or discoloration under your eyes. You may have under-eye heaviness for 3-5 days before it begins to subside. As the tissues and collagen beneath the eyes continue to develop for 1-2 months, you will see the benefits of your therapy become more noticeable.
The PRFM treatment is entirely safe, and there are no significant adverse effects to be concerned about. Mild pain, swelling, and soreness are also possible. They can be quickly alleviated by applying topical anesthetic and cold to the treated areas.
